Chillies grown in Hong Kong, home-made small-batch hot sauces, powders, seeds, plants and other products.

 
Hong Kong Chilli Papa is based in rural South Lantau. He grows all his chillies from seed and makes hot sauces, chilli powders and other products. From mild stripey zebrange to fiery yellow aji limon and superhot Trinidad chocolate scorpions, these chillies are not available anywhere else in Hong Kong.

 

How hot do you want to go?

Chilli heat is measured on the Scoville scale. As a rough guide, bell peppers measure zero, Sriracha sauce hits 1,500 to 2,500 Scoville units, Tabasco measures 2,500 to 5,000. Jalapenos score from 2,500 to 8,000 Scovilles. At the other end, Carolina reapers and Trinidad scorpions measure from 1.2 million up to 2 million Scovilles, at least 200 times hotter than Tabasco.
